New Year's with the Tinos

Over the past several year's we have made it a tradition to spend New Year's with our best friends from college---The Valentine's.   When it first started we would spend New Year's Eve out on the town, once in Dallas, once in Houston---partying the night away.   6 years ago when I was pregnant with Rheagan we rented a hummer(I was the driver, since I was the prego one) , went to dinner downtown and spent the rest of the night at home.  Now with the kids in the picture,  we have settled down a bit.  We cook dinner, do fireworks, put the kids to bed and drink and dance in the kitchen until we simply can't stay awake any longer.    I wouldn't have my new years eve any other way---we have WAY too much fun.   Here are a few pictures from this year.

and yes....sunglasses at night.  They come out every year....once the glasses go on, it's a party!!! Vegas Baby :)

To my sweet baby girl--can't believe you just turned 6. Where have these 6 years gone.   I look at you and I can’t believe what a an amazing kid you have become.  You seem so small at times and then you speak and the whole world turns to listen to what my little “big girl” has to say.  You are AMAZING.   You are so smart.  You have learned so much this year.   You can tie your shoes, you love gymnastics, you can read, you have been tested into the GT program at school, your teachers love you, your friends love you, and you are a great student.   We are so proud. This is OUR Life....

In January last year I started a photo project called For the Love.....30 days of photos, 1 photo each day, all black and white.     I love all of the images I got and promised myself I would do them every January, every year.   I actually had an album made from last year's images.   I LOVE IT....  This January, I started out on my FTL project but only got about 4 days in before I decided it wasn't going to work....We had so much rain in January and in February that I had a really hard time getting images.   Plus, with daylight savings time and cloudy skies in the afternoon I had no chance of getting any good light for pictures once I got home from work.    So this year I am changing up my FTL project a little.   I am going to wait and start this project in June---when I am home and can really spend some time on it.  I think I will also mix in some color images.....haven't decided yet....guess we will see in June. What Summer Looks Like.....

So, I've got tons of pictures on my computer from the last few weeks.  Quick post, so I can get these pics up and get on to my post about our vacation---Here is what Summer looks like around the Schneider house. 1. We go to the Children's Museum 2. We Hang Out With Chelsi 3. We Take Naps 4. We paint!!!  (and remodel...pics coming I promise, I just haven't finished decorating after all the mess) 5. We take baths in the pool 6. We Go Out in PawPaw's Boat and yes she is sitting in the cooler--it was full of water so the girls were playing in it.   7. WE PLAY ALOT!!!!!! Today the girls got really quiet so I went to check on them in the playroom.  This is what I found......
