My Sweet Little Ryane

Wow!! 2 years old…..time goes by way to fast.  It seems like just yesterday that everyone was shocked by the 9 pound little baby that we welcomed into the world on May 26th.   You were just what our little family needed to be complete.   Rheagan has been so in love with her little sister from the day you were born and you have definitely taught Daddy and I that there is no limit to the amount of love you can have for your babies. 

Everything about you has been completely opposite of your sister from day 1.   We only thought we new “what to expect” when we brought you home.  To say you rocked my world would be a total understatement---but of course I wouldn’t trade a single day.    You were the quiet one, the calm one, the sick one, the clingy one,  and the one who we were sure was more like Daddy than Mommy.   Little did we know that your personality was just waiting to EXPLODE!!   You are so silly!!!!!!!  You are so stubborn, so full of life, and SO Funny!!   It’s like you know exactly what to do to get us all laughing.   You are a character and I can’t wait to see what you will come up with next.   I love walking into your room in the mornings when I can hear you moving around and you pretend to be asleep, and then you pop up and say “Surprise” and just crack up at yourself.   You look so much like Rheagan when she was your age—which means you look like Daddy too.   It’s getting hard to tell the pictures of you apart from the pictures of Rheagan when she was your age.  You are still the clingy one, you love hugs and kisses, and you love to be held.  When you give kisses you always put your hands on the cheeks of the person you are smooching—so cute.  You love your “sissy” so much.   You copy everything she does because “that’s what big girls do”.   You want to be just like her and just as big and independent---but I just want you to stay just like you are.  I am so proud of you for learning to go to bed in your big girl bed on your own, but I already miss the way you snuggle up to me when we nap together.   When I lay with you, you always touch my face just to be sure I'm still right there, it is the sweetest thing ever. Everyday you learn something new and I am just amazed at how you observe and take it all in.   You are so smart and so strong already.

Some things about you:
You Love DORA!!! -- It is definitely your favorite show.
You are a very light sleeper—but you love your new big girl bed
You have 16 teeth!!!  We joke and say that you are a piranha because you have had them since you were 12 months and you were a biter!
You copy EVERYTHING Rheagan does.
You love the color Yellow and say it “Lell-o”
You like doing things on your own and when we try to help you say " No--Self" meaning by myself.
You also say "I got this" when you don't want us to help you.
You love to eat Nammy’s Mac and Cheese—it’s your favorite.
You love your gymnastics class—and you are really good at it!
You weigh 25 pounds---you are shorter than Rheagan was at 2.
You look like Rheagan and Daddy but you are built more like Me
You  are almost Potty trained, but still have your Paci  and BeBe (blanket)
You have the best facial expressions—sometimes I wonder where you get that from…
Oh and---You can swim underwater!!!!!!  It’s crazy!!!

Ryane, you have a very special place in my heart that is all your own.   I love watching you grow and seeing how much you are like your sister but also how much you are so your own person too.  You will always be the baby of the family, the little sister, the one who shares a special bond with Rheagan that only sisters understand, the one who completed our family.   We love you Ryane Emilee!

To my sweet baby girl--can't believe you just turned 6. Where have these 6 years gone.   I look at you and I can’t believe what a an amazing kid you have become.  You seem so small at times and then you speak and the whole world turns to listen to what my little “big girl” has to say.  You are AMAZING.   You are so smart.  You have learned so much this year.   You can tie your shoes, you love gymnastics, you can read, you have been tested into the GT program at school, your teachers love you, your friends love you, and you are a great student.   We are so proud. Rain, Rain Go Away!.....and other important stuff!

So it's Thursday..... 1.Guess where I'm going tonight.......BRING IT ON!!!!!  I am so excited, Bring it on the Musical is at the Hobby Center and I'VE GOT TICKETS!   I know it's cheesy but for 1,  I love going to the theater, and 2,  I love anything and everything cheerleading---brings me back to my childhood!   2.  I am so sick of this rain---this gloomy weather makes me want to stay in bed.  I'm ready to see the sun--I've got Spring Fever.   I can't wait for warm weather, the beach, vacations, and spending time with the family.  Every year we vacation to the New Braunsfels with the inlaws, to Livingston with my parents, to the Ranch in Segno and then we plan our vacation--kid vacation, adult vacation we trade off every other summer.   This summer is an adult vacation---the kids are going with the grandparents and we are hitting a beach somewhere---I can't wait.  **although a little part of me is gonna miss disney world. ...

This is OUR Life....

In January last year I started a photo project called For the Love.....30 days of photos, 1 photo each day, all black and white.     I love all of the images I got and promised myself I would do them every January, every year.   I actually had an album made from last year's images.   I LOVE IT....  This January, I started out on my FTL project but only got about 4 days in before I decided it wasn't going to work....We had so much rain in January and in February that I had a really hard time getting images.   Plus, with daylight savings time and cloudy skies in the afternoon I had no chance of getting any good light for pictures once I got home from work.    So this year I am changing up my FTL project a little.   I am going to wait and start this project in June---when I am home and can really spend some time on it.  I think I will also mix in some color images.....haven't decided yet....guess we will see in June.
