I'm getting crafty!!!

We had a super busy so...so no post for me Tuesday-Friday.  We will probably have a few weeks like that coming up now that the Mr. is starting his busy season.  Some nights I'm just too tired after the girls go to bed to pick up this computer.  

Anyway....Here are a few pics from this week.  Skipped Thursday night because I was shooting a newborn session and skipped Friday night because I was worn out!  But I added an extra picture for Saturday and as long as I have 30 for my book I"m good.  Shooting a pic a day takes discipline--and some nights, that's totally out the window.  Did I mention the Mr. is about sick of me always having my camera in hand.

Day 24....it looks like spring is almost here....we are really loving this warmer weather....So ready for spring and summer.

Day 25.....one night per week we go out to dinner.  We try to cook all the other nights but some nights its something quick and easy.  This was an "out to dinner night".  Rheagan has her favorite spots, and loves getting to pick the place we go.

Day 28......We spent the day at home, took the girls to the neighborhood park and did things around the house.  Here are a few park pics.

OK....so the crafty part.   I have been looking at resale shops over the past few months for a headboard for Ryane's room.  She is temporarily in a full size bed, but we are going to redo her room this summer when school gets out---complete with new bedding, paint and furniture the I have been collecting and will refinish.  I already have a dresser, night stand and book shelf.  Just need a headboard.  Anyway, no luck yet but I have found several chairs to use on photo sessions.  Yesterday the girls helped me refinish 2 of the chairs and a table that my mom gave me for the back patio.

The black one we just sanded down to make it look more antique--I wasn't lovin the glossy finish.  The brown one is now bright pink......I'll post the after pictures this afternoon.
Here is the table....I'm super excited. It looks so good...

To my sweet baby girl--can't believe you just turned 6. Where have these 6 years gone.   I look at you and I can’t believe what a an amazing kid you have become.  You seem so small at times and then you speak and the whole world turns to listen to what my little “big girl” has to say.  You are AMAZING.   You are so smart.  You have learned so much this year.   You can tie your shoes, you love gymnastics, you can read, you have been tested into the GT program at school, your teachers love you, your friends love you, and you are a great student.   We are so proud. This is OUR Life....

In January last year I started a photo project called For the Love.....30 days of photos, 1 photo each day, all black and white.     I love all of the images I got and promised myself I would do them every January, every year.   I actually had an album made from last year's images.   I LOVE IT....  This January, I started out on my FTL project but only got about 4 days in before I decided it wasn't going to work....We had so much rain in January and in February that I had a really hard time getting images.   Plus, with daylight savings time and cloudy skies in the afternoon I had no chance of getting any good light for pictures once I got home from work.    So this year I am changing up my FTL project a little.   I am going to wait and start this project in June---when I am home and can really spend some time on it.  I think I will also mix in some color images.....haven't decided yet....guess we will see in June. What Summer Looks Like.....

So, I've got tons of pictures on my computer from the last few weeks.  Quick post, so I can get these pics up and get on to my post about our vacation---Here is what Summer looks like around the Schneider house. 1. We go to the Children's Museum 2. We Hang Out With Chelsi 3. We Take Naps 4. We paint!!!  (and remodel...pics coming I promise, I just haven't finished decorating after all the mess) 5. We take baths in the pool 6. We Go Out in PawPaw's Boat and yes she is sitting in the cooler--it was full of water so the girls were playing in it.   7. WE PLAY ALOT!!!!!! Today the girls got really quiet so I went to check on them in the playroom.  This is what I found......
